In the middle of June by the invitation of alcoholic and soft drinks Department of «Caspian Crystal» company Graeme S. Avery – the owner of one of the most leading wine-making estates of New Zealand was visited Baku for the first time.
Preliminary meeting with the representative of SILENI firm (New Zealand), Tariyel Salakhov the Director of «Caspian Crystal» company and with Asif Gasimov the Director of alcoholic and soft drinks Department of «Caspian Crystal» company has taken place at the Prowein Exhibition in Düsseldorf.
«SILENI» Estates is the main vineyard and winery in Hawke’s Bay, New Zealand’s oldest vineyard area.
The first vintage was in 1998 and since then the wines have won world wide acclaim.
Wines «SILENI» are European’s style and are produced to enjoy them in a combination with meal.
The purpose of the visit was acquaintance with the wine market of Azerbaijan where it was found out there are only few of the New Zealand wines.
The further directions of cooperation between «Caspian Crystal» company and New Zealand firm «SILENI» on provision of their wines to Azerbaijan have been discussed during the meeting.
